Massachusetts Saint Bernard Breeder
FzyBr Saints is the preservation breeding program of Matt Agnese and Carolyn Goodwin-Agnese in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Our dogs are family first.
We breed selectively for health, temperament, sound structure, and the character that makes a Saint Bernard a Saint Bernard. Every pairing is considered in the context of the individual dogs, their pedigrees, and the future of the breed.

Puppies & Adult Dogs
We do not currently have a litter planned.
We welcome applications from families interested in a future puppy. Occasionally, an older puppy, young adult, or retired Saint Bernard may also become available to an approved home.
Each placement is based on the individual dog and the home that best suits that dog. Applying begins a conversation; it does not guarantee a placement.
Preservation Breeding at FzyBr Saints
Our responsibility extends beyond producing a litter. We study pedigrees, learn from the dogs and breeders behind our program, and evaluate what each generation contributes. Health initiatives, historical research, education, and mentorship are part of that work.
Health & Genetic Information
Health testing, family history, longevity, and genetic information inform our breeding decisions. Prospective families are encouraged to ask about the evaluations and records relevant to the parents of a proposed litter.
Temperament & Family Life
We value stable, affectionate dogs that can live confidently as family companions. Our puppies are raised in our home with socialization, enrichment, and exposure to everyday household life.
Structure & Breed Type
Balance, sound movement, and correct breed type matter. We evaluate the whole dog, working to preserve the Saint Bernard’s distinctive character and structure without rewarding exaggeration.
Careful Placement & Lifelong Support
Matching dogs with appropriate homes is part of responsible breeding. We remain available to our puppy families and expect to be involved if an owner can no longer care for a dog we produced.

Meet Matt & Carolyn
Matt Agnese and Carolyn Goodwin-Agnese share responsibility for FzyBr Saints and the dogs at the center of the program.
Matt Agnese
Matt is a preservation breeder, cynologist, historian, educator, and lifelong student of the Saint Bernard. His work within the breed includes historical research, health initiatives, education, and mentorship.
Carolyn Goodwin-Agnese
Carolyn has been an integral part of FzyBr Saints since 2017. Her involvement spans daily care, breeding decisions, raising and evaluating puppies, showing, and helping choose the right homes for our dogs.
Living with a Saint Bernard
The Saint Bernard’s history is closely tied to the Great Saint Bernard Hospice and Pass in the Swiss Alps. Preserving the breed means understanding that heritage alongside the needs of the dogs living in our homes today.
Their affection, strength, and presence are part of their appeal. So are the practical realities: training, grooming, shedding, drool, food costs, veterinary care, transportation, and the physical size of an adult dog.
